Two other U.S. bank regulators - the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation - also must approve the Basel rules, which they had proposed together with the Fed.

*The OCC's head, Thomas Curry, said in a press release that he intends to sign the rule next week. 

*The FDIC has scheduled a meeting for July 9, and will be the first to put out a proposed rule for a bank leverage ratio.
