London seeks to be centre for yuan trading
Currency swapping of the Chinese yuan with the British pound increased by 240 per cent in the first half of 2012 compared to a year earlier, according to the City of London Corporation.
Trading in swaps is a means for two countries to exchange a specific amount of each currency, followed by a payment of interest.
